What is QR Code Generator?
A QR code is the fastest way to move a piece of information from a screen to a phone without retyping it. It can hold a web address, a phone number, wifi credentials or any text at all, and every modern phone camera reads them natively.
This generator builds the code in your browser and lets you set the error correction level — an option most people ignore but which matters. Error correction determines how much of the code can be obscured or damaged while remaining readable: level L tolerates 7%, level H up to 30%.
If the code will be printed, posted outdoors or have a logo placed over the centre, choose Q or H. The trade-off is that higher error correction packs the modules more densely, so longer content needs a correspondingly larger size. SVG is the best choice for print, since it stays sharp at any scale.
How to use
- Enter your content in the text area. The QR code appears immediately.
- Pick a size to suit where it will be used. 320px is fine on screen; for print choose 1024px or download the SVG.
- Choose an error correction level. M suits most situations; pick H if the code will be partially covered or printed somewhere it may get dirty.
- Adjust the colours to match your branding if needed — but keep strong contrast between foreground and background, or scanners will fail.

Frequently asked questions
Do generated QR codes expire?
No. A QR code is a static image with the content encoded directly inside it; nothing routes through an intermediate server. It works forever, even if this site disappears. Only services that shorten through a redirect link have expiry.
Which error correction level should I choose?
M for most ordinary use. Choose Q or H when the code will be printed, placed where it may get scratched or dirty, or when you want to overlay a logo in the centre. Use L only for very long content displayed on a clean screen.
What is the maximum content length?
In theory around 4,300 characters, but keep it short in practice. Longer content means smaller modules and a harder time for cameras, especially in small print. Shorten long URLs first.
Why won't my phone scan the code?
Usually contrast. The foreground must be dark enough and the background light enough; inverting them or picking two similar colours both break scanning. Also, long content at a small size produces modules too fine to resolve — increase the size or shorten the content.
